Mini-Apps ​

Fun size apps.

What are Mini-apps? ​

Mini-Apps are smaller versions of full size Apps. While a full-size app may take up a full page, multiple Mini-Apps can be arranged within the same page to allow for a unique user experience. Mini-Apps can be utilized like islands - isolated and serving a sole purpose, or they can communicate with others across the platform.

All sorts of Mini-Apps can be added to make your pages diverse and functional. Some of the Mini-Apps that can be added include:

• Calendar Viewer – Displays an app with the days and months of the year.

• Doc Viewer – An app that allows the User to view documents.

(This Mini-App can only be added if the Doc Center app is installed in your iteration of VCP. If it has not been added yet, contact your System Administrator.)

• Docs Manager – This app allows the User to manipulate various images, videos, and documents relevant to the Initiative.

• Event – Adds a new event to the app.

• HTML – allows the User to insert some HTML code or text that will display on the page.

• Phone Record – A form that the User can fill out to include phone information for an individual instance relevant to an Initiative.

• More – more apps will be coming - look for them!

Viewing/Updating Mini-Apps ​

The Mini-Apps currently in use can be seen within their respective Pages. While in a Page, click the pencil icon to pop out the 'Editing Page' sidebar from the right side of the screen. Scrolling down will reveal a portion which lists the Mini-Apps in use (see image below):

From this panel, Mini-Apps can be further altered by clicking on the pencil icon to the right of the respective Mini-App. The panel will change allowing the title and description to be changed as well as other Advanced properties given you have the adequate permissions to alter them.

Actions, Classes, and Styles can all be transformed to realize your vision.
